Transformation of any organization begins at the top. Without leadership commitment to a set of clearly defined ethical values, communication of these values, and demonstration of behavior congruent with the chosen values, the rest of the organization is unlikely to move toward transformation. The Eriksen Institute first develops a consulting relationship with organizational leaders. During consultation, leaders decide on their ethical aspirations and together decide on the steps necessary to create change in the organization’s culture. From there, change creation strategies can begin. Leaders may also engage in ongoing consultation as the organization transforms itself.
